Course Description

Staying Healthy in a Changing Environment will help learners navigate COVID-19 as they return to campus and to the workplace. Whether you will return in-person, shift towards a hybrid model, continue remotely, or have remained open, prepare your workforce and student body for what comes next through online training and education.

This course will teach your community ways to protect their physical health and maintain their mental well-being with practical guidance about the COVID-19 virus, returning to campus and the workplace, and working remotely.

Learning Objectives

  • COVID-19 Basics and Best Practices for Physical Safety
Establish a baseline knowledge by providing an overview of the virus, its symptoms, and how it is spread. Getting everyone to speak a “common language” is the first step to communicating expectations.
  • Promoting Mental Wellness and Health
Explore common causes of stress as well as stressors related to life during a pandemic. Learn strategies for managing stress and supporting mental well-being, such as physical exercise, establishing routines, and communicating personal boundaries.
  • Working Remotely During COVID-19
Help your community working from home with resources to stay productive and feel included and supported, both mentally and physically. Topics include working from home or hybrid environments, and discussing accommodations.
  • Returning to the Workplace
Teach safety best practices to stay well and what to do if they experience symptoms. Review bystander intervention to manage instances of harassment or discrimination.
  • Returning to Campus (For Higher Education only)
Provide learners who are returning to an in-person campus environment with safety best practices and considerations. Bystander intervention is also discussed as it relates to campus safety and taking action when you notice someone isn’t following protocols or being safe.
