Course Description
This course teaches supervisors what human trafficking is, how to detect it in the supply chain, and how to respond once it is detected. Supervisors will gain a better understanding of the perils of human trafficking and how it can taint the supply chain for virtually any product sold in the US. It explains that knowing how to detect and respond to human trafficking helps to thwart this reprehensible crime.

This module defines human trafficking and introduces the learner to multiple types of crimes that fall under human trafficking, including forced labor, debt bondage, and child labor. With identifying factors of each highlighted, the learner then applies this knowledge through interactive scenarios and practices identifying situations that may or may not be considered trafficking. The module continues on to explore the reasons behind why trafficking occurs and the costs, both financial and human, of an organization being involved in trafficking. It concludes with several reasons why businesses should care about eliminating trafficking from their supply chain.

After introducing the UK Modern Slavery Act, the module continues on to explore how to create and implement an anti-trafficking policy.
